The second largest airline in India, SpiceJet, operates a fleet of 32 De Havilland Dash 8-400 regional aircraft which are used on daily flights to many destinations across the country. Since 2016, a purpose-built Dowty Propellers workshop based at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad – a SpiceJet operational hub – offers a comprehensive support package to the customer with repairs, technical assistance and spares.
Accommodating a doubling of fleet size in five years, Dowty engineers have significantly reduced turn-around time (TAT) for SpiceJet propeller repairs and the customer also benefits from lower shipping costs and welcomes the ability to converse easily and face-to-face with Dowty engineers.
