Employees have taken the “Choose to Challenge” pledge in supporting Dowty Propellers’ commitment to celebrate women’s achievements and creating an inclusive world – honouring the 8 March observance of International Women’s Day.

By raising their hands high, they are showing their support for the global movement to challenge inequality, call out bias and question stereotypes.

Held annually, International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, continuing a tradition that began in 1911. It also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.

Dowty Propellers has a very active women’s network that promotes the entry of more women into technology and manufacturing.

The company also supports other affinity networks, including the Pride Alliance (whose goal is to educate the workforce on challenges facing the LGBTQ community) and the Veterans Network (with the objective of supporting and bringing together veterans from all UK military branches who have shared similar experiences while serving their country).
