Engineering Degree Apprenticeship

This four-year programme, aimed at post-A Level applicants, covers multiple engineering disciplines and participants graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering, from the University of West England (UWE) in Bristol.

A four-year programme, the Degree Apprenticeship is an alternative to full-time university, allowing you to combine studying for a B Eng in Mechanical Engineering while gaining industrial experience working at Dowty.

Academic requirements: For all applicants, Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Grade B/5 or above in Mathematics, or equivalent. You will also need a minimum of 120 UCAS points via:

  • Grade C or above in Mathematics plus a pass in plus another science related subject, STEM-based subject such as Physics/Electronics/Computing, or similar.

OR

  • BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering with a Merit for Mathematics

OR

  • Equivalent qualification with appropriate Maths content
