From its headquarters, production and logistics sites in the Gloucestershire region of England, Dowty Propellers has a worldwide reach to support its in-service propellers and develop new business relationships.
Gloucestershire is home to the company’s design team, along with comprehensive test facilities, laboratories, quality control and manufacturing resources – including braiding machines and layup facilities for the family of carbon fiber blades.
Also located in the Gloucestershire area is Dowty Propellers’ maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) center, which is capable of processing all blades and systems produced by the company. The wholly-owned U.S. MRO facility in Sterling, Virginia provides capacity for propellers in the Americas with both airline operators and military services, while Dowty Propellers’ Brisbane, Australia MRO center has undergone further expansion to serve the Asia-Pacific region.
Dowty Propellers’ growing team of field service personnel brings the expertise of an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and propeller type certificate holder, backed by the company’s full engineering capabilities. These field service engineers can be located with airframe manufacturers, deployed to the bases of civil and military operators, and serve as roaming personnel with rapid-response capability wherever needed.
